Close enough to enjoy the cosmopolitan flair and bustle and with the same charm and true Italian flavour, Sant’Agnello is a quiet suburb of Sorrento, a small town overlooking the bay of Naples. It is connected to Sorrento by regular buses along the Corsa Italia and has its own station linking it with Sorrento and slightly further afield, Naples and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Pompeii and Herculaneum. The Sorrentine Peninsula is rich with beautiful villas, castles and for its wonderful sea cliffs and the drink Lemoncello! In the Gulf of Naples are the Islands of Ischia, Procida and Capri. There are ferry and hydrofoil services from Sorrento to Capri, Ischia, Procida and Naples. Day trips around the Gulf of Naples are available.

Capri has been a resort since the time of the Roman Republic and is well known for its Blue Grotto known throughout the world for its size and the intense blue tones of its interior. Those heading to the centre of Capri from Marina Grande can take the Funicular railway, which slides through the lemon groves to the heart of Capri in 5 minutes.
